    Counties: Fulton County Indiana


Fulton County is located in northern Indiana, bordered on the north by Marshall County, to the east by Kosciusko, Miami, and Wabash counties, to the south by Cass County, and to the west by Pulaski County.

It has an area of 369 square miles and during the 2000 Census had 20,511 residents.

Rochester (2000 Census population of 12,074) is both the largest city in Fulton County and the County Seat.

Other cities and towns include Akron (1,076), Kewanna (614), and Fulton (326).

The county was named for steamboat inventor Robert Fulton.

Notable natives include Otis "Doc" Bowen, 44th Governor of Indiana, who was born in Rochester on February 26th, 1918.
